I’m a: Wife, Mom & Mimi & a micro wedding planner. Southern California is home, but South Carolina still has my heart.
I enjoy: Coffee in the morning & tea in the afternoon, slow living, spending time in nature, antiquing & treasure hunting, shopping local, period piece movies/series and travel or foolish escapades that involve good food.
Surprising fact about me: Most people think I’m an extrovert, but actually I’m an extroverted introvert.
Guilty pleasures: Spa days (as many as possible), taking the long way home because back roads are the best & bourbon.
MY STORY
AntiBallroomBride began in 2007 when I saw a need for creating stylish small weddings before micro weddings were a thing. I called these weddings “boutique weddings” and hosted them at off the beaten path locations in Southern California like historical casa’s, villas & private estates for brides that were not interested in a large wedding, however wanted all the special elements of one.
I worked as a concierge at a luxury resort & spa in Laguna Beach, then co-founded a personal concierge service, OC Concierge serving clients throughout Orange County, CA assisting them with life/work balance and a variety of personal and household services. One of my concierge clients asked if I would plan them an intimate wedding in their garden and I did what any good concierge would do, I said “yes, of course!” Now at that time, I knew nothing about planning weddings, so I stressed a lot, but worked hard & figured it all out and the wedding turned out lovely. The experience created a crush in me which turned into a passion for helping couples realize the joy and intimacy of a micro wedding over all the unnecessary trappings of a large scale traditional one. I’ve been assisting brides with micro wedding ever since, and that’s how AntiBallroomBride was born.

You can expect an uncomplicated planning experience, with fabulous services from my little black book of the best and pretty styling to provide the most intimate, beautiful, and meaningful wedding day ever.
Every wedding looks different, but here’s one truth that holds true across all cultures, bringing family & close friends together, laughter and great food & drink centered around a wonderfully styled table satisfy the soul. My weddings are distinctive, casually elegant and all about the couple versus the show. Clients that are drawn to my style love celebrating life and its special moments.
